Introduction

The idea behind Rønne & Runa is to centralise the histories, states and whereabouts of the boats drawn by Gerhard Rønne in the early 1900s.

Besides numerous practical reasons for creating a central archive, my personal interest for the boats and an idea to create something coherent and of interest is considerable. A blog seems an appropriate medium as the forum enables an exchange of information, for free!

This year I hope to locate all of the Boats still in existance and to document those deceased. Next year my aim is to recover the histories of the boats, voyages, owners and to publish some photographs of the vessels today.
